The Ipswich City Council provides continual support to the market since its beginnings in November 2009. The market helps create extra tourism and vistiation in the city centre as well as bringing a sense of community to the city of Ipswich and to the region.

A must visit for the individual shopper, develop and design a shopping destination for people from all walks of life. This would include the reintroduction of market bus shopping tours to work with the existing traders, eg. the markets would be an amazing shopping destination."
David has been running the markets beside the pier next to the Brisbane River for 22 years and is involved in Jan Power’s Farmers Markets at Queen Street, the Powerhouse, Mitchelton and Manly.
